Automobiles in Germany's Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Police stated they were alerted by a man who discovered a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored liquid

Roughly 50 cars have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Automobiles, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Officers report they were alerted late on Wednesday night, when a resident observed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.

The fluid had been applied in the shape of a banned symbol, they stated.

Officers then found numerous other smeared cars and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement say early analysis indicate the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no clue as to where it came from; authorities are not yet informed of any harm in connection with the incident," they stated.

City officials said they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have asked to the community for tips.

An important political figure said the vandalism rendered him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.

"This act strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the extremist attack in 2020," he wrote on social media, mentioning the murder of nine individuals by a gunman aiming at people of immigrant origin in 2020.
