Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
